Anthony Brody writes about cinema and the movies in the New Yorker magazine, and never in the banal, cursory style of the passing movie-goer.  Rarely succumbing to half-conceptualized opinion pieces, I have learned a lot from him.  And I’ve realized I have a lot of catching up to do.
